The new settings will take effect immediately. Move between the display options in the dialog box using the arrow keys and then press "Enter" after highlighting the option you want to use. Choosing "Computer Only" doesn't display your computer's screen on the projector "Duplicate" places the same image on both screens "Extend" lets you use one screen as a primary screen, the other as a secondary screen, and you can move between them "Projector Only" displays only the computer's screen on the projector's screen. If the message is displaying on a secondary display simply go to Windows Display properties and change the resolution setting of the secondary display to a lower setting until and image is displayed. Press "Windows-P" on your laptop keyboard to open a dialog box with display options: Computer Only, Duplicate, Extend and Projector Only. Also, if the resolution is set at a reasonable amount, make sure that the projector is plugged in all the way. Alternatively, press the "Source" button on your projector until the desired source appears on the projector's screen. For example, if you connected the Acer laptop to the Optoma projector using a VGA cable, press the "YPbPr" button. Press the source button that corresponds to the input you used to connect the video cable to the projector. For example, if you connected a VGA cable to your laptop, plug the other end of the cable in to the "VGA/SCART/YPbPr" input on the projector. Connect the other end of the cable to the corresponding input on the back of the Optoma projector and then turn on the projector.
